How Many Photos of the Buddha is too Many? (Asking for a friend)

On our way home from our vacation we stopped to see Ushiku Daibutsu.  An interesting thing about me is that on road trips I am constantly saying, "I wonder what is over there?  We should stop!"  We never do because that would drive Mike crazy but one day when we don't have kids and all the time in the world, we will do a real road trip where we just drive and stop wherever we want and check out all the things along the way.  I found this huge Buddha on the route home and Mike wanted to see it too so we made sure to make a detour.  You could see the Buddha from miles away.  It was incredible.  This is the largest Buddha in Japan.  Back in December we visited Nara, a city near Kyoto that had this giant Buddha.  That Buddha would fit in the palm of this one!  We bought tickets to go inside.  On the chest of the Buddha there are three long squares.  Those are actually windows.  The grounds were not very crowded, probably because it isn't peak season for the flowers.  Normally, the fields leading up to the Buddha are full of flowers.  They did have a huge hydrangea garden though and as an added treat, there was a couple getting married and we got to sneak peaks at them in their awesome cultural wedding clothes.  We skipped lunch so at the end we let the girls choose an ice cream treat from the vending machines but that just made a big melty mess.  It was the best detour!
