Fukiware no Taki Falls

I really wanted to go on a hike but it was so hot and all the hikes we really wanted to go on were further away than we wanted to drive.  We decided to go check out Fukiware no Taki Falls, which we thought was just the falls, but it ended up having a nice hike around the falls.  It was higher in elevation and nicely shaded so it actually didn't feel that bad temperature wise.  The hike had an abandoned shop or shack on the trail and it was full of all kinds of things left behind like books and even some furniture.  We didn't go into the shack but in the entry was a notebook with a hand drawn map of the falls.  We also saw a two-headed ant, which was intriguing.  The rock walls had coins shoved into every nook and cranny.  I am not sure why except that mountains are thought to be sacred places that hold spiritual significance in the Japanese culture so I assume it's for good luck.

After our hike to Fukiware no Taki Falls we drove around some beautiful yellow rice fields and found a pick your own grape farm.  We ended up picking three large bags of grapes.  They were giant and delicious and tasted like candy.  The skins are thicker so most people take the skins off.  I didn't know that rice fields turned yellow and I also didn't know that grapes were covered in bags like that for picking.
