July

July seems like it was a long month.  I guess they all kind of seem long now.  Some highlights:  Mike got PRK on his eyes.  It was really painful for him but his eyes are already starting to improve.  His parents visited for a week.  His parents went to California to take care of his grandma and help get her settled in an assisted living center and get her house ready to sell.  While driving back to Florida after visiting with us, they got the news that Grandma Paulsen had passed away.  She was old and had been in pain for a long time so we are grateful she was able to be reunited with her husband and family.  Steve and Carol got a mission call to Tokyo and will leave in October.  The girls started up gymnastics again.  We found a hummingbird in our backyard and loved watching it come each day and feed the little babies.  Finally, we are still doing zoom meetings for YM/YW with the exception of one week where we get to meet outside in the church parking lot (masks and social distanced of course).  The zoom meetings have been happening since March and we are all tired of them and the attendance has been poor lately.  It has been hard, especially for the boys who are the only ones that come to the meetings most of the time and they feel annoyed to have to plan zoom activities for just them.  They would prefer not to do them and I don't blame them but we go because it is our calling and we should be there and we try to have a good attitude.
