No bare belly showing here!
First, some random pictures and then a tutorial.
I've been having some fun little issues with this little boy. Here is is this morning getting ready to say family prayer. I know I've complained about our dog in the past but really, this is why we like our dog. He is so patient with our boys. I don't know about you but it would really bug me to have someone lay on my neck.
We've been getting lots of snow lately. Mike's been working hard on his thesis so he hasn't had time to do a lot of shoveling. I always intend to shovel--I actually like to shovel--but inevitably, one of our neighbors always beats me to it and I come out to a freshly cleaned path. We have great neighbors who all have snow blowers and like to blow every one's sidewalks and driveways.
And now for the tutorial:
Have you heard of Bella Bands? They can be kind of pricey ($30 in some stores) and totally not worth the cost to me. So I decided to make my own Bella Band. I went to Goodwill and bought two stretchy shirts.
I cut the shirts right under the armpits then turned them inside out, and pinned them. I did a quick front and back stitch and then sewed all the way around, then ended with another front and back stitch. Since the shirts are stretchy you will want to make sure that your needle is new or it might be hard to sew.

Then you turn it right side out and you're done. I also made a white one.
I'm loving my little bands. Yesterday I ran out of clean pants (our dryer was broken for five days) so I had to resort to some non-maternity pants that fit everywhere but in the waist. I just left them unbuttoned and wore my homemade Bella Band and no one knew my pants weren't done up.
Four dollars beats thirty in my book any day!
P.S. Come back soon because I have a post planned about natural birth. Want to know my take on it?

Great job!
I wish that were my problem.
I'm very happy with my little bands.
You are such a cute prego!
By the way, great idea with these bands. I would have loved something like this when I was pregnant.
