They were easily won over
We had a special visit from my sister Lindsey and her husband Hans. Lindsey lives in Germany and we never see them. I mean that. In fact, I've only seen her kids one time and they are 2 1/2 and 4. And, she had only met one of my kids--Will, when he was about nine months old. So this was a special treat.
The visit was short but long enough for my boys to fall in love with her and Hans. They said, "Mom, you have the best sisters in the whole world." I agree.
Hans was a hit from the start because he knows Karate. The boys put him right to work having him teach them his moves and then they made up their own moves and tried to take him down a few hundred times.
Hans and Lindsey were good sports. I made Lindsey go for a long walk with me and Hans went with the boys and Mike to buy pizza. We watched part of this really lame movie while we ate pizza and then Hans and Lindsey brought out their treats from Germany--chocolate and gummy numbers/letters and some sour gummies. You can win my boys over easily with treats.
The next morning was Sunday and Hans and Lindsdey had to leave. I woke up before everyone (except Mike, he was already at a church meeting) and got the table set. Then, since everyone was still sleeping, I jumped in the shower. I got out to find Hans in the shower and all three boys awake and cuddling with Lindsey in her bed. I had to convince them to get out of bed and come eat. They were just having way too much fun talking to Lindsey.
As Lindsey and Hans left, the boys chased after their car shouting, "We love you! Come back! We will miss you every day for the rest of our lives! Don't leave!" It was super cute.
I love that they like my sister and her husband, but it's not surprising--she has a way of making people like her.

Thank you so much for having us. As for people liking me, I think it's more like I have a way of scaring people. :) Your boys are pretty easy to win over. Of course, German candy always helps. :) I thought Will put it best though. "We really like you because you're crazy aunt Lindsey. All you have to do for us to like you is to be crazy."
Lindsey
We were able to visit them as well, breifly, but Dave was working at the time and I was in the beg stages of my labor. Not so ideal! Wish we could have gotten to spend more time with them as well!
Glad you all had fun!
Your boys are amazing! I am very proud to say that I am one of those sisters. :) I wish that we could all be together this Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. I just want everyone here in Utah with me. I am a selfish girl that way. I miss all of my Brothers, Sisters, their spouses, and their amazing children.
(I am with out a doubt the favorite aunt though, sorry to tell you that girls. It is true though. haha You know what they say, the best for last and I am the last.:D) Loved reading this post. I love you guys!
