When I SHOULD be looking

So, after my great post earlier today, I started working on my blurb-book (blurb.com--you can use it to print your blog out as a book. It's not super user friendly, but it works). William will sometimes come and ask if he can brush my hair, which I usually let him do. Today, after brushing my hair with a comb for a while, I told Will to get a brush because the comb was hurting me. He hopped down, got the brush and handed it to Isaac. Isaac started brushing and Will went to get another brush. He came back, hopped up on the chair and started brushing my hair,"Look, mom, I cut your hair!" except, he was using scissors instead of a brush... now I have big chuncks of hair missing. I don't think it looks too bad, but I haven't looked real close for fear that it will look bad.

Haha. That is too funny! I accidently put superglue in my hair not too long ago. I wish I could have at least blamed the kids. At first I thought it was funny, but then I cried when it wouldn't come out!

Oh. My. Gosh. THAT is soo funny, yet not funny at the same time. I'm cracking up. I'm sure it looks fine, if not, hopefully you can get into a ponytail or something!

Oh Adrianne, I'm sorry. I hope it's not too bad!

I'm sorry Adrianne, but it totally cracks me up! I know it shouldn't--I would be devastated if chunks of my hair got cut out! But, you're just so funny! Maybe it'll inspire a new do! Good luck--I'm sure you look great.

I've heard about printing your blog into a book...how often do you suggest printing?? Funny story about your hair, what a good helper you have!

This time it was Will, not Gillian! I'm laughing all day long at this one. I was sure you were going to say he was brushing your hair with a toilet brush - but nope, it was scissors. You must have been concentrating really hard on this scrapbook or whatever it was.

I'm glad I gave you all a laugh. I am actually suprised that it isn't that obvious because chunks came out. Whatever...at least I have curly hair, which seems to hide things better in my opinion. I expected this from girls, not my boys!
Oh my! The story started out so nicely...someone combing my hair...ahhhhhh

Then...EEK! You're such a good sport.

By the way to answer your question Emma was born at 29 weeks and Andrew at 31 weeks (at that rate by my 5th kid we'd have a "full term" baby I could take home with me....:) Too early!
Brooke, I thought 36 weeks was bad! I get so anxious wondering when the baby will come every time I am pregnant. I would be so scared if my kids came that early. I'm so glad they are both ok now. You poor momma!

I've tried that blurb thing too, but have had some troubles with it. I guess I just thought I'd be able to download my blog right to it and it would immediately format everything to look perfect. Oh well. Does it just take more practice?
Jacey, it really depends on how many entries you have on your blog and how big you want your book to be. The smallest book is 40 pages for $31, something like that. Our first year only had 20 pages of entries so we did 2005 and then 20 pages of 2006. We decided to see how that turned out and then if we like it do more. I imagine we will do about 2 years at a time. You can do up to 440 pages!

Katie, I was frustrated with that at first too. I have a lot of posts and it made each post a separate page, which I didn't want because some posts are just a few lines. I couldn't figure out what else to do so I would add a page, and then copy and paste it so there were multiple posts on a page. The website has a tutorial and it says you can have the comments slurped too but when I went to make the book, I couldn't find that option so I had to copy and paste all the comments from my blog and then go paste them onto the book, very annoying. Anyway, it took a lot of work, but I enjoyed making the book anyway and I think in the long run it will be worth it. The website give you the option to share your book with others so I can send you the invite and you can see how I did it. We decided to make the final page an explanation of who everyone that commented is with a picture of them. So that is going to be interesting on the next book where there are a lot more people that have commented. How will I get pictures of everyone?!
