Will: Momma?
Me: Yes, honey?
Will: Momma? Look. Bird.
Me: I see it. It is very pretty.
Will: Momma?
Me: What?
Will: (pointing to another bird) Momma? Look, another bird.
Me: You're right.
Will: Momma?
Me: What? (thinking, "Maybe if I igorne him...")
Will: Momma? Look. Bird.
Will: Momma?
Will: Momma?
Me: WHAT!?!!
Will: Look. Green tree.

I have had those conversations. Hate to tell you that they get worse as the kids age...and more of them learn to talk...

Try Ammon's conversations -- he perseverates (says the same thing over and over again until he can get back on track) and some days it just drives me crazy!! And when he says, "Mom," he will wait and won't go on with his sentence until you say, "What." It isn't good enough to just look at him and nod or wait -- you have to vocally answer or he will just keep saying, "Mom, or Dad" -- Isn't is just so much fun to be a mom?!
