COVID-19

Because of the Cornoavirus, everyone has been asked to practice Social Distancing.  Church was cancelled and we were asked to hold church in our homes.  We actually were really excited.  I'm married to an introvert who would prefer every Sunday to be at home.  The bishop gave all worthy Melchizedek priesthood holders permission to perform the sacrament in their own homes and take care of any minitering families that needed it.  Isaac got it prepared and Eli passed it.  It was a really special moment.  My brother Jess had sent us some videos a lady in his ward had made for singing time and Mike had prepared a lesson for his Sunday School class already.  We watched the talk Beware of Pride, had opening/closing prayers, sang an opening/closing hymn, did singing time, and had Mike's lesson.  He taught on pride and looking beyond the mark and had a fun game to teach it.  I had each of the kids get out their journals and write their feelings about how the prophet introduced the Come Follow Me program 18 months ago, foreseeing this need to hold church at home.  It definitely was inspired and I'm grateful to follow a prophet and for his modern day revelations that helped us be ready for this time in our lives.
