Isaac started school!!

Man, this boy is one handsome boy.

My sweet Isaac started kindergarten today. Amazing. I was so nervous for him--and so excited for him as well. He was excited too. He told me he would wake me up in the morning so we wouldn't be late--he is an early bird! I was awake already when he came in this morning and he was just beaming. Will still has two more weeks before his school starts and I'm actually happy that Isaac got to start earlier than Will because I think it makes Isaac's special day even more special. I'm glad that Isaac gets to have his moment where we all get to focus our attention on his important day.

We went in to talk to his teacher last week so we could tell her what happened and have her be aware of the situation. She seems like she will be such a great teacher. She asked me to bring him in on Monday so she spend some extra time with him and show him the class and get to know him. She told him that he was going to be her special helper today and I think that made him really happy.

I wasn't sure what to do about the full day kindergarten at Will's school and prayed and fasted about what to do--do I hold him back? send him to full day anyway? homeschool? It was a miracle that I found this charter school that had half day that had openings still. Now I see that it was another tender mercy because I can't imagine being home with just me and Eli for the next two years. It would be awfully lonely for us both. Now we have another year together for at least a few hours before I have to let go of my babies. I need them near me right now.

Oh, he does look so handsome and I love how excited he is! I'm glad he has his own special day. This year will be the first time the girls start school on the same day...weird. Give Isaac a hug for us! -Jen

Tell Isaac that his aunt Chelsey thinks he's just about the cutest boy ever! It's great having his own day to start school. Jake starts kindergarten today too! How fun for them both!

I'm so glad that he is excited! There's nothing quite like that new backpack and new clothes, either!
He does, indeed, look handsome. I can't believe it's school time already.

I can't believe it is school time already. Allyson told me yesterday that she does not want to go to school. She "just likes being home". I am hoping she will get more excited. Isaac is such a cutie. We sure do miss him. I hope he had a great day and loves school. He is a Mr. Smartie Pants :) I am sure he had fun.s

I can't believe he's already in school!? Doesn't it seem to start earlier each year? He'll just love it and you will love having him home half-time, I bet Eli will too!

Any chance he's going to The Imagine Classical Academy? Our oldest is there. We LOVE it!
