Three unrelated bits
If you live near us and come to our house you might see this shape taped to our living room floor.
Mike says he thinks I already wrote about this but I can't remember ever talking about it on here so if I have written about it before, pretend I didn't.
The hexagon is actually for a fun little game Mike made up for the boys one day called, "The Big Ball Game." The basic idea of the game is just like marbles only with pool balls. Sometimes Mike gives them rules according to their ages. So Will might have to hit the balls in order according to the number on the pool ball and Isaac might have to hit a ball with a stripe and Eli just has to hit a ball. The boys love this game and ask to play it all the time. They especially like it when Mike plays with them.
And now, for a totally unrelated tid bit..
I don't really like animals. I never have. But, I like this dog. I think I have a love/hate relationship with him. I love how well behaved he is. But he smells. I love how gentle he is. But he's huge. I love how beautiful he is (I mean, he really is a beautiful dog). But he sheds. I love his devotion to our family. But he freaks out when we leave him (not all the time thankfully).
Diamond loves me. I don't really get it except that I'm generally the one that feeds him. He sits outside the bathroom door while I do my business. He follows me around the house and lays at my feet while I cook dinner (hoping for scraps, I'm sure). It's just strange to me because I would never admit to being a great dog owner so I don't know why he is so devoted to me.
Anyway, he's a super good dog. One thing I do really love about Diamond is that he sleeps in the same room as the boys and he will stay in the room until the last one of them wakes up and comes out. I'm not sure why he does it but I think it's some protection thing. Mike just thinks it's because he knows he's last on the rung and so Diamond doesn't think he can come out until the last. I'm not sure. Either way, he always waits to come out of the bedroom until the last boy walks out.
Diamond has a love of all things soft. He prefers the boys blankets to his own. If one of them leaves their blanket on the floor he will find it and curl up on it. He found Eli's stuffed horse and used it as a pillow the other night.
Diamond also loves to be outside. But he can't make up his mind if he wants to be with us or outside more. It actually drives me nuts. I can't stand opening and closing the door for him all day. Mostly he just goes outside and finds the best place in the yard where he can see us through the window and still be in a bit of sun. Lately we have been finding him climbing up on the boys play toy outside just chillin'.
And finally, a picture of me at 30 weeks. Will took this on Sunday. It's not a great picture but it's all I've got.
I'm not really sure what to say about this pregnancy right now. Here are a few brief updates or thoughts.
I had an ultrasound this week to measure her. She's 3 lbs 6 oz. So, not itty bitty but not big. Just normal.
Apparently, you can see on an ultrasound hair...and she's got it! I had no idea you could see that on an ultrasound but the technician told me I'd want to bring clips or bows to the hospital when I had her.
At the ultrasound I was able to see her practicing breathing. It was cool to see her little lungs go up and down. She seems to be healthy and growing as she should.
I'm measuring normal for the first time since I had Will. Usually I'm measuring a month further.
I feel about the same as I always do when I'm this far along but since I've been exercising this entire pregnancy I am not as achy. My feet and back are holding up much better this time around. And, my head hurts much less this time as well.
Anyway, I'm almost done and for that, I'm grateful.

You look cute and I love the game your kids like to play. That's very creative.
And hooray for being 30 weeks! That's great! And that's also great that she's doing well and that's she's on track for size.
You're doing great - keep it up!
It might be for the best though, Diamond would tell him how fun it is to be a house-ish dog and Apollo would get jealous. :)
