The East Coast

I love the East Coast. I love all the history and the green and tress and all the water. We wanted to take the boys to the beach but when it came down to it, we weren't up for the long drive to the beach just after making the long drive to Maryland and we figured there was enough to do without going to the beach that we skipped that part of the trip. Instead, we decided to take the kids to Havre De Grace (where Mike's sister Jessica lives) and let them play at the park and then walk the boardwalk, or promenade.

When we got there it started pouring on us and I was disappointed we couldn't walk along the boardwalk. Havre De Grace is right on the Chesapeake Bay where the Susquehanna River meets the bay and since we weren't going to the ocean, this was as close as we were going to get.

Since we were getting rained on we left and went to the store instead and when we got back it had stopped raining so we went back to the park and took our walk. We saw a lot of dead fish, lots of boats, played on the swings, saw ducks, and had pleasant walk.

I'm so glad we have family in different parts of the country so we get to experience all kinds of things. I think going to the coast is one of my favorite places to visit.

Beautiful! I've only been to Maine, but I hope someday I'll get to see more of the East Coast.

Looks like a fun vacation. I've only been to the East coast a few times and everytime loved it.
We are so glad you are back!! In our four years in living in maryland, we never made it to the beach.
