Question Corner 2

I think it's time for more questions. You can ask me whatever. You can also ask Mike questions or the boys (those should be interesting answers). If there is just some burning question you'd love to have an answer from us, ask away.

In the meantime, I have a question for you:

I want to know what everyone's favorite food is. It's getting to be the end of the month and I am going to need to make another menu. What are you all eating? We just at a Chicken Tikka Marsala that made my innards very warm and happy. It wasn't to die for like the Chicken Tikka I tried at this Indian restaurant a few weeks ago, but it was good. Very good.

We have fallen in love with Kung Po (sp?) chicken. Stir fry up any peppers/onions/veggies you want with small diced chicken pieces and then add peanuts and the Panda Express Kung Po sauce that you can get in a grocery store. Yummmm!!!!

My children all like Mexican lasagna and could eat it at least once a week.

We also have tacos at least once every week-week and a half

Breakfast for dinner

Pulled pork

Stir fry

Orange Chicken with rice

and their all time favorite Hot dogs and macoroni and cheese (my least favorite)

We do tater tot casserole about twice a month. Also, tacos. Other less regular favorites include meatloaf, breakfast, hoagies, burrito pie, rice lasagna, enchiladas, broccoli chicken divan, hot dogs (Emmett's favorite) and peanut butter & honey (Abby's favorite).

My husband's favorite Dinner is Pepper-Lime Chicken, I use this recipe: http://www.bhg.com/recipe/chicken/pepper-lime-chicken/ and it's pure awesome. If you have a grill, even better, just make sure to marinate it before-hand. Great with rice, salad, or veggies.

As for a question... as a fellow writer I have to ask, how are things coming along with your children's book? Or can you not say yet? :)

We had Chicken enchiladas tonight, makes my husband happy
Well when Mike and I are actually in the same country we love:
fettuccini alfredo
manacotti
pulled beef tacos (london broil, crock pot, little water and taco seasoning for 8 hours makes the greatest taco meat EVER)
Super salads- chicken, feta cheese, croutons or homemade bread plus all the veggies
cheesy chicken casserole- chicken breast, cream of chicken, egg noodles and shredded cheese all cooked, poured into a casserole pan and baked. yum-o
french toast
breakfast burritos- eggs, bacon, cheese and salsa in a burrito
soapapillas- indian fry breas with beans, meat, cheese, sour cream..

okay I'm really hungry now....

my question is: if you guys could leave the Air Force tomorrow and Mike would have a job wherever you chose to live where would it be?

I wish my kids liked Mexican lasagna. I'm the only one in my house that does so we don't eat it more than once a year.

When are you moving to Utah? Oh, I know. Just as soon as we move out. -Jess

Was that our date restaurant you're talking about?

I have a question...do you or Mike have experience making candy enough that you'd like to come teach a class to our Laurels the end of this month? I think even the basics they would love. Their activities are Wed. nights. And if so, I'd love to watch your boys. Might be a fun date night for the two of you (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
Let me know sometime what you think.
Have a great week!

We're trying a new fish every other week or so--you know, trying to eat healthier foods. Anyway...we loved this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Grilled-Tilapia-with-Mango-Salsa/Detail.aspx

Also, what do you do for dicipline? I'm running into situation that I'm not sure the best things to do...lying, breaking things, etc... What do you do?

I don't know if your kids like salmon but I have a killer recipe and it's sooooo easy.

Salmon cut into steaks
soysauce and a touch of oil mixed together
marinate the salmon in sauce
sprinkle lemon pepper on top of marinated steaks
broil or BBQ

It's a favorite with us!
I try to post a recipe every now and then on my blog. They are meals that we actually make and eat. You could look and see if there is anything that sounds good to you!
Thanks for all the suggestions. Yumm! I don't know how to cook fish...but I should learn so maybe I'll learn with all the recipes you've listed.

Rachael, yes, that was the restraunt and give me some more info on the candy thing for the Laurels...

Cali, your cake looked awesome!

There have been a few who have offered in our ward. So never mind about the activity...unless you REALLY want to do it.
