We love free things

"I'm drawing a backhoe, momma."

Apparently the playhouse is not his favorite place to be. It scared him when I put him inside.

This is the free play thing we got for our backyard. It's pretty cool and the boys love it.

That's a pretty sweet "free" thing. We feel that way about our swing set. It was in the back yard when we moved in, which we are tremendously grateful for. I don't know that we would have purchased a swing set, but we love the fact that it's there.

I think the only thing better than free stuff is free food stuff.
Jess, I like your swing set. I would rather have a swing set than some of the things we have. Both boys could swing for hours. We were given a turtle sand box from some people in the ward before they moved. Then we were given a playhouse from our neighbor's son. I guess his grandkids got too old for it and he likes our boys. He offered it to us and then one day I looked in the backyard and he was setting it up for us. Very nice man. Then our friends in the ward were getting this fun play thing. I don't know what they are called. Anyway, so they gave us their old one with a slide. The most recent one came from a man in our ward that asked around in the ward for someone to take a boys toddler bed and this fun play set. No one wanted it and we knew we'd need a new boys toddler bed soon so we told him if he couldn't find anyone else we would take it. So now we have oodles of free things. I love it.

Andy, I agree about the food. Free food is the best.

How can we get some free stuff? You always find great things! Those will entertain the boys for hours.
Chels, I'm not sure how we get them...luck. You find deals I could only dream of though. You ought to give me lessons. Anyway, the boys love all their fun little backyard play toys.

You know, there are a million times where I've wanted to go out and get something we "needed" but decided to just wait. More often than not, either a better deal or a free deal often comes up. There's something to be said about waiting to make these decisions.

We were awfully close to buying Abby a new twin bed (she's on a mattress on the floor right now) when Marci said "hey, we're getting Katie a new bed, take her old one." Ah, the glory of waiting.

I never have the patience to wait. But we have gotten some pretty nice things for free or pretty cheap. I am glad you all have such fun toys for the boys to play with.

I still think Ike looks like he belongs in my family with my blond babies! They are both adorable!
Jess, I agree about waiting. I get some money for myself each month. It isn't a lot (although, enough for me) so I think every month about what I want to buy with it. But then I always think, "well, maybe if I just wait one more month." And it's funny because then the next month comes around and the thing I wanted doesn't seem that important anymore.
Jessie, you get awesome deals too. You and your mom have tainted me. I see something for $5 and think, "That is so expensive. I could find that cheaper, I'm sure." But I'm not as good at finding things as you are. Also, you are right...Isaac's blonde hair could fit in with your family. But, I was very surprised to have a dark haired baby in the first place. I had white hair when I was little and my entire family but my mom and brother have blonde hair and blue eyes. Most of the neices and nephews have blonde hair too. So, Isaac fits in perfectly with his cousins and aunts and uncles. I wonder if your kid's hair will turn brown as they get older or it they will stay blonde like Jason.

I sure hope their hair stays blond. Jason's is still so light for an adult, I am thinking theirs may stay.

Isaac's face also is very similar in shape to my older two, with the adorable round cheeks. He is just to huggable!
