Slush

I love to cook and try new foods (as does Mike) so I decided to start a weekly recipe post. Growing up my mom used to make slush every New Years Eve and it was a Clark family favorite. For my birthday we whipped some up to share with the missionaries. So, here's the recipe:

2 cans frozen orange juice concentrate
10 cups water
Juice of two lemons (or just lemon juice from the jar)
2 cups sugar

Stir all together and put into freezer. Occasionally stir or break up so this becomes slushy. This takes several hours to freeze so make early in the day or the day before. Serve with 7-Up or Sprite.

There were 11 of us kids so mom always made a lot. For a smaller group of people just cut the recipe in half. So good! Yumm.
