Carnival Cake

The Cub Scouts had a carnival theme Blue and Gold this year.  Each boy had to make a cake with his dad for the dessert.  It was a really busy week for ward activities that week as well as our family in general with basketball and some other things going on.  Eli was worried that Mike would not have time to make the cake with him but Mike made sure to carve out some time in his week for Eli.  They spent a few late nights working on the cake.  I think Eli loved making this cake with Mike.  We didn't even have a working oven for two months so it was pretty impressive that they were able to make it work by cooking the cake in the roaster oven.
